Solaro™ - Motion-Activated Solar Light For Pathways

Motion Activated Brightness

This lighting unit offers three selectable operating modes so you can choose how and when it illuminates outdoor areas. In low light the fixture can stay at a dim standby level, switch to full output only when motion is detected, or remain continuously lit at a lower brightness for constant visibility. The sensor is designed to activate only after dusk to preserve stored energy during daytime and extend nightly run time. These options make it easy to balance security, comfort, and energy use around walkways, porches, and yard edges.

Durable All Weather Construction

The housing is built from weather-resistant materials and a sealed design to withstand rain, snow, and temperature changes without frequent upkeep. UV-stable surfaces and corrosion-resistant fittings help maintain appearance through seasonal exposure. The integrated solar panel and rechargeable battery charge during daylight and power the LEDs at night, with performance dependent on available sunlight. Placing the unit where it receives direct sun will improve nightly runtime and overall reliability.

Quick and Easy Installation

No wiring is required for installation, so the fixture mounts to any flat surface using the included screws for a fast do-it-yourself setup. A single screwdriver is all that is needed to attach the light and position the sensor, making it practical for fences, decks, and garden walls. The low-profile design keeps the unit unobtrusive while the adjustable mounting lets you aim the detection zone and beam where it is most useful. Routine maintenance is minimal; occasional cleaning of the solar panel keeps charging efficient.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What settings are available?
There are three operating modes: a continuous dim setting for constant illumination, a continuous dim mode that switches to full brightness when motion is detected, and a motion-only mode that stays off until movement triggers full output. Each mode is selected to match different needs for safety, visibility, and energy use.

Q: Will it detect small animals or only people?
Yes. The infrared sensor is sensitive to motion within its detection zone and will respond to animals as well as people when they move within range and angle of the sensor.

Q: Will it operate in all weather conditions?
Yes. The unit is designed with a sealed, weather-resistant enclosure and materials that resist rain, frost, and heat. Performance depends on sunlight for charging, so placing the light where it receives direct sun will support consistent night operation.

Q: How fast does it react when motion is detected?
The sensor responds immediately with no noticeable delay, switching the fixture to full brightness as soon as movement is detected within its coverage area.
